Delta Smiles is an orthodontic specialty practice at 1145 2nd Street, in the walkable heart of downtown Brentwood. Dr. Brent Sexton and Dr. Tiffany Louie provide braces, Invisalign and early treatment for children, teens and adults. The first exam is free, no referral is required, and this office holds 618 Google reviews at a 5.0-star average.
We’re on 2nd Street itself, not out on a highway frontage road. Independence High School is on the same street. The farmers’ market, the shops and the Chamber’s Hometown Halloween event, which we sponsor, all happen in the blocks around our front door. Being part of downtown is not a marketing line here; it’s the address.
Dr. Sexton bought this practice from the orthodontist who founded it, and East County families have been coming through these doors for decades.
From Highway 4, take the Brentwood Boulevard exit and follow it into downtown; 2nd Street crosses it. Coming from the Streets of Brentwood or Sand Creek Road, head east on Balfour and turn toward the old town center. Discovery Bay is about 17 minutes out along the Bypass, Oakley about 14, Knightsen about 11, and Byron about 14. Patients from Antioch, Pittsburg and Bay Point are usually closer to our Antioch office.
Dr. Brent Sexton completed dental school, his orthodontic residency and a master’s in dentistry at Indiana University. He owns the practice and treats patients at both offices. His full bio.
Dr. Tiffany Louie grew up in the Bay Area and trained at UCLA and UCSF, finishing with an orthodontic certificate and a master’s in orofacial sciences. Her full bio.
Two of our team have been here more than twenty years, which is unusual in any dental setting and is part of why so many reviews name an assistant, not a doctor. Meet the team.
We’re in network with Delta Dental and we bill most other plans carrying orthodontic benefits. Our financial coordinator verifies your coverage and tells you the remaining balance before you decide anything.
That balance can be spread over no-interest in-house payments, often with nothing down, and CareCredit is available for longer terms. What treatment costs depends on how much the teeth need to move and how long that takes, so we quote your case rather than an average. See insurance and financing and what drives orthodontic cost.
We are orthodontists and nothing else. No cleanings, no fillings, no crowns. Both doctors spend every working day moving teeth and guiding jaw growth, and that focus is the substantive difference between a specialty practice and a general dental office that also offers aligners.
After cost, technology is the question Brentwood patients ask most, and it’s a fair one. Our practice uses digital 3D scanning instead of the trays of impression putty most adults remember, and 3D imaging lets us see roots, airway and unerupted teeth instead of guessing from a flat film. Details are on our technology page.
Metal and clear ceramic braces for crowding, spacing and bite correction. Compare your options.
A removable, discreet option for teens and adults. Popular with Brentwood professionals who’d rather not spend two years in brackets. How Invisalign works.
By age 7 enough permanent teeth are in for a specialist to see where the bite is heading. Most children that age need watching, not treating. Early treatment.
Adults are a growing share of our Brentwood schedule, including patients who had braces years ago and drifted. Adult orthodontics and complex cases and retreatment.
Breathing, sleep and jaw development are connected, and we evaluate all three. Airway orthodontics.
